Billie-Marie Morrison was born and raised just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, and spent a large part of her childhood on Martha’s Vineyard. She received her BA from Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado. Billie-Marie then moved to Las Vegas receiving her MBA and JD degrees from UNLV.
After law school Billie-Marie clerked twice for the Honorable Johnnie B. Rawlinson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, followed by a career in complex litigation, focusing on mass torts, primarily in the area of products liability. Billie-Marie now focuses the majority of her practice on workers’ compensation, personal injury, products liability and mass torts.
Billie-Marie is licensed to practice law in the state of Nevada, as well as in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has been featured on national television and radio programs, as well as in numerous newspaper articles for her work representing injured persons. She has taught workers’ compensation law at the William S. Boyd School of Law and Administration Law at the Community College of Southern Nevada. Billie-Marie is a member of The Nevada Justice Association (NJA), presently chairs the workers’ compensation committee and is a past member of Board of Governors. She is also a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and serves as the workers’ compensation newsletter editor. Additionally, Billie-Marie is a Board member of Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG), a member of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association (STLA), a member of the Las Vegas Women’s Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Clark County Bar Association (CCBA) and a member and former Board member of the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys (SNAWA). Billie-Marie also serves the State Bar of Nevada as a mentor in the Transition in to Practice (TIP) program. Billie-Marie has also been awarded the prestigious award of Top 100 Workers’ Compensation Lawyers in the United States, Super Lawyers rising stars/mountain states and Top Lawyers in Nevada.
